Immaculate Conception Novena

Beginning on Sunday November 30th, St. Veronica will celebrate a Novena in honor of our Lady’s Immaculate Conception.

The Novena will take place on nine consecutive evenings.    On the Saturday and Sunday, we will celebrate Holy Hour beginning at 7:00 pm.  Each Holy Hour will include Adoration, the rosary, opportunity for Confession, and a preached reflection on a title of Mary.

During the week, Monday through Friday, the Novena will begin with Confession at 6:30 pm, 7:00 pm Holy Mass, followed by Exposition and Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament, and a preached reflection.  Each of the nine evenings will have a guest celebrant as stated in the schedule below.

Faith Direct!

St. Veronica Catholic Church is now  paricipating in the Faith Direct program.  Faith Direct is a planned electronic giving program principled in the stewardship model that with sacrificial giving, we place God first and ourselves second.  Faith Direct is a vehicle in which we can carefully consider our sacrificial giving and decide how we can consistently give back to God from the treasures He gives to each of us.

Stewardship is NOT fundraising.  The beauty of stewardship is that when a parish fully embraces the spirituality of giving back to God a portion of the gifts He gives to each of us.  Of course we still need to give but we need to plan to give from our first fruits, not from what is left over in our wallets at the end of the week.

Please prayerfully consider your participation in the Faith Direct program.

Novmember 2008

General:  That the testimony of love offered by the saints may fortify Christians in their devotion to God and neighbor, imitating Christ who  came to serve and not to be served.

Missionary: That the Christian communities of Asia, contemplating the face of Christ, may find the most suitable ways to announce Him, in full faithfulness to the Gospel.
